renne lab at local steam night

Members of the Renne Lab participated in the Micanopy Area Co-op School's annual STEAM night to teach elementary students about Viral Immune Evasion by making healthy choices to build the immune system and protect from a "Virus Invasion"! The kids got to dress up as Super Defenders and help block the viruses (velcro balls) from sticking to vulnerable populations (played by Caroline Bull and Soleil Torres). We had so much fun, and hope the kids learned a little something other than that it is fun to throw stuff at grown-ups! :)
